Acclaimed artist and author Meredith Gaston’s whimsical, heartfelt artworks have found places in high profile galleries, glossy magazines, and private collections worldwide. She has shown in locations from Sydney to Florida, Berlin to Bologna. Her fervent love of life and adventure informs her vibrant art.

Meredith’s greatest inspiration is finding the beauty and magic in seemingly simple, everyday things. She is passionate about expressing the tenderness of human emotions, and in capturing the way we interact with each other and the vibrant world around us. Meredith’s use of bold, warm colours and her simple forms capture a childlike sense of wonderment, and harness the boundless potential of the imagination.

Meredith’s second book with Penguin and her first solo project ‘Tucked In’ was released in March 2011. Balm for the world weary and nurturing for those having a ‘doona day’, ‘Tucked In’ features countless dreamy watercolours in conjunction with Meredith’s homespun words. Her latest books ’101 Moments of Joy and Inspiration’ and ’101 Inspirations for your Journey’  are available with all good bookstores.

As co-director of Kindergallery, Meredith Gaston is wholeheartedly passionate about fine art for children. She takes enormous pleasure in liaising with her Kindergallery artists around the world, and is constantly inspired by their exquisite artworks and profound creativity.

Currently ensconced in her inspiring Melbourne studio, Meredith is busy preparing for shows in Australia and abroad and is working on her fourth book with Penguin. When not in her studio Meredith can be found baking cakes, writing letters, or exploring her tangled beauty of a garden.
